They say online that anytime you experience noises with your furnace that means something major is wrong.
Everytime I went by my indoor air handler it made a weird squeaking noise.
What is the deal with that? I thought maybe it might need oil for lubrication. I then wondered if there was a loose part in there. I did all my research and came up empty handed. He immediately told me that the problem was the bolts were on too tight. The pressure of me walking by caused them to squeak. That was it. He loosened some bolts, cleaned the inner workings, and checked for any rust or damage. Turns out my furnace was good to go. The whole exchange was so quick that I even let him do some duct cleaning. I am really glad that I sprung for that extra because the stuff he found in my HVAC ducts are going to my grave with me. Lets just say I can’t believe I was breathing in air that rolled over that debris. Now I can rest assured that there is nothing major happening inside my system. I am very thankful the Terrell furnace business was so prompt and professional. They didn’t even charge me that much. I felt very bad making the guy come all the way to my house just for too tight of bolts.
